My user was in pain. People in manual labor jobs experience pain in their joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons.
I wanted to make them feel better. My goal was to create a product that could help alleviate that pain quickly and easily.
My focus areas were durability and portability. I wanted to create a product that would last and could be stored easily.
The DeWALT Power Massager is a powerful, durable, and portable device to alleviate pain and make people feel better.

Interview with Patrick
What does a normal day of work look like for you?
“Almost every day is different so it’s hard to say. For the most part, I install metal framing in commercial buildings.”
Do you experience pain after working all day?
“My body definitely takes a toll after working all day. Especially my feet, ankles, shoulders, knees, and lower back.”
What do you like to do when you get home from work?
“First thing I do is shower and change and have a beer. We get dinner ready, then after we eat, we get the kids ready for bed. I watch a little TV, get my lunch ready for the next day, pop an aspirin, and head to bed. I am then back at it again at 5 am the next morning.”
Last question, what brand tool do you use on the job?
“DeWALT all day.”
